Special Interest Vehicle Registration Information ....

Special Interest Vehicle (SIV) Registration

To qualify for Special Interest Vehicle (SIV) Registration, applicants must be financial members of an incorporated car club such as the Caboolture Regional Car Club.  For further information, please contact the Club’s Dating Officer, Steve Wicks, on 0408 707 128, or via email.

There is no Club surcharge for processing SIV registrations; however, the process does require time and resources.  A simple thank you is always appreciated.

The Club looks forward to seeing you — and your SIV‑registered vehicle — on Club runs and events in the near future.

Roadworthy Certificate (RWC).  In Queensland, a RWC is required in the following circumstances:


  • When transferring registration to a new owner.  (Note: Vehicles on Special Interest Vehicle (SIV) registration cannot be transferred.)
  • When transferring a vehicle to Queensland registration from another state or territory.
  • When re−registering an unregistered vehicle.

Personalised Plates.  In Queensland, personal registration plates are permitted on vehicles registered under the Special Interest Vehicle (SIV) scheme.  Personalised plates may also be transferred from a vehicle on full registration when that vehicle is placed onto SIV registration.

For members requiring SIV registration, please provide the Dating Officer with the following information:

Personal Information:


  • Name of Applicant.
  • Address of Applicant.
  • Membership Number and evidence of current financial membership.
  • E−mail Address.
  • Contact Phone Number.
  • Supporting Documents i.e. RWC or reverse side of Registration Certificate.

Vehicle Information:


  • Make of Vehicle.
  • Model.
  • Body Shape (sedan⁄coupe etc).
  • Year of Manufacture.
  • Engine Number.
  • VIN⁄Chassis Number.
  • Number of Cylinders.
  • Number of Seats.
  • Colour.
  • Existing Registration Number.
